Children's Health Event

CUSP CSHP/ASHP collaborated with Coast Hills Pharmacy at their Children’s Health event to educate the children about the dangers of poisonous household items on September 10th, 2016. Volunteers manned tables with vibrant educational posters and handed out informative brochures. Kids were equipped with the knowledge and steps needed to take in an emergency situation. We had a great turn-out with many of the children enthusiastic about playing our poison prevention games. Kids were able to look at pill bottles and guessed whether the items inside were candies or OTC medications. Many of the kids took their time in selecting the candies from the OTC medications and were very successful!
